New (Old) Formula: Chocolate Chip Potato Cookies

The old formula is back! We have reverted the Chocolate Chip Potato Cookies back to the original formula with eggs. Since converting the formula to egg-free, we have received an overwhelming response from customers to return back to the old recipe. According to FAAN, the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, there are 8 foods that account for over 90 percent of food allergic reactions. As a hypoallergenic food manufacturer, we are in the process of eliminating these top 8 allergens, i.e., peanuts, tree-nuts, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, fish, and shellfish. Though reverting the cookies back to the egg-formula sets our goal back, Ener-G Foods, who has been in this business for over 47 years, prides itself in high quality products. That said, since releasing the egg-free version of the Chocolate Chip Potato Cookies, sales have dropped to the point where we either had to discontinue the product altogether or temporarily go back to the egg formula. Sorry if this creates any inconvenience, as soon as we come up with a better egg-free formula, one that is just as delicious as the egg version, we will immediately convert it's status back to egg-free.
As mentioned above, Ener-G Foods is working to eliminate the top 8 food allergens. So far we have successfully removed gluten, wheat, casein, dairy, tree-nut, and peanuts. As a commercial bakery, fish and shellfish never set foot on the premise, which only leaves us with eggs and soy. We are working hard to meet this goal, in the mean time, we would like to thank our customers for getting us this far in the restrictive food manufacturing business.
